What is CBD Distillate?

What is CBD Distillate?

Extraction Process:CBD distillate is the end product of a complicated and difficult refining process of the hemp plant. The CBD distillate refining process takes plant matter and converts it into a tasteless, odorless, and pure liquid known as CBD distillate.

What makes CBD distillate special is that it contains a high concentration of CBD, otherwise known as cannabidiol.

In addition to containing CBD, CBD Distillate also contains other cannabinoids which may include CBN, CBG, CBC and other rare minors.

The refining process can also be used to create CBD isolate, which is pure CBD and does not contain any other cannabinoids.

CBD Isolate Vs. Distillate: What is the Difference?

CBD Isolate Products vs. Distillates: What is the Core Difference?

CBD Distillate vs CBD Isolate

The difference between CBD distillate and CBD Isolate is that CBD Isolate contains only CBD while the CBD Distillate includes other cannabinoids.

CBD is a cannabinoid that can either be isolated into a powder, known as CBD Isolate, or in it’s natural form as a disillate oil, which contains a whole host of cannabinioids which may include Delta 9 THC, Delta 8 THC, CBN, CBG, CBC, THCV, and others.

Full Spectrum CBD Distillate vs Broad Spectrum CBD Distillate

Full Spectrum CBD Distillate vs Broad Spectrum CBD Distillate

There are two types of CBD Distillate: Full spectrum CBD Distillate and Broad Spectrum CBD Distillate.

Freshbros offers Full Spectrum CBD Distillate as well as Broad Spectrum CBD Distillate.

What is Full Spectrum CBD Distillate?

Full Spectrum CBD Distillate is a type of CBD Distillate (hemp oil) that contains all of the cannabinoids from the hemp plant, hence the name “full spectrum”.

Currently full spectrum CBD distillate is the most sought after form of distillate on the market because it contains greater quantities of the lesser known cannabinoids, terpenes, and hemp material which cannot be found in Broad Spectrum CBD Distillate or in CBD Isolate.

What is Broad Spectrum CBD Distillate?

Broad spectrum CBD Distillate is a more refined version of Full Spectrum CBD distillate.

With Broad Spectrum CBD Distillate, several cannabinoids and hemp material are removed in order to provide consumers with a “cleaner” CBD experience with non-detectable THC.

While some consumers enjoy the full entourarage effect of Full spectrum CBD Distillate, other consumers prefer the cleaner or more mild experience of broad spectrum CBD distillate.

For producers, broad spectrum CBD distillate is a way of avoiding legal issues when it comes to the transportation of CBD products as broad spectrum is THC free. Fresh Bros only sells compliant Full Spectrum CBD Oil so you never have to worry about purchasing something that is over the legal limit of Delta-9 THC.

What is the Entourage Effect with CBD Distillate?

What is The Entourage Effect with CBD Distillate?

Entourage Effect: Scientists currently believe that cannabinoids interact with each other to produce a unique “entourage effect”.

The hypothesis behind the entourage effect is that although the two most well recognized cannabinoids are THC and CBD, there are several others minor cannabinoids that work together to produce the whole effect.

To put this into a pratical context, a popular study published by the Journal of Pain and Symptom Management gave cancer patients either CBD, THC, or a combination of CBD with THC. The patients who received both CBD and THC reported experiencing less pain.

Hence the speculation that cannabinoids work synergistically with each other.

Scientists speculate that the effects of the major cannabinoids are slightly altered by whatever minor cannabinoids are present.

And so, because “full spectrum CBD distillate” contains all those minor cannabinoids, it is the most sought after type of CBD distillate by consumers looking experience the full benefits of cannabinoids.

How is Broad Spectrum CBD Distillate Made?

How is Broad Spectrum CBD Distillate Made?

There are two popular methods for creating Broad Spectrum CBD Distillate.

The first method involves taking pure CBD (known as CBD Isolate) and infusing it with the desired cannabinoids.

The second method involves taking full spectrum CBD distillate and further refining it, removing cannabinoids, including Delta-9 THC, until it’s considered a broad spectrum CBD Distillate.

Important: CBD Distillate and THC

Products that contain THC fall under different rules than products that do not contain THC.

What is CBGA / CBG In the World of CBD and Distillates?

CBGA / CBG is short for cannabigerolic acid. CBGA / CBG is a cannabinoid that can be found in cannabis and can exist in full spectrum distillate as a result of the distillation process. CBGA / CBG is the foundational chemical found in the cannabis and hemp plants, and ultimately what produces THC, CBD, and CBC.

Is There Research on CBGA / CBG?

Although research is ongoing, CBGA / CBG extracts are showing promise in many medical areas including:

Combating cardiovascular diseases.

Combating metabolic disorders.

Delta 8 Legality

Delta 8 is illegal in Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Idaho, Iowa, Mississippi, Montana, Rhode Island, and Utah. In all other states, it is legal, but bear in mind that this is subject to change if state legislators determine that it should be classified as a controlled substance. Therefore, before taking delta 8, you should always check with state laws, as laws regarding cannabis are prone to sudden change.

Drug Test Disclaimer

The lesser-known delta-8 THC is a double bond isomer of the more common delta-9 THC.
Although it might not have the same strength of delta-9, delta-8 THC still has the ability of producing a high, with added therapeutic benefits. As with any hemp derived THC product you should not consume if you need to pass a drug test.

Delta 8 / THC Disclaimers and Warnings

Consult your physician prior to using any Delta 8 products. Delta 8 products are not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any conditions. Do not use delta 8 if pregnant, nursing, or if diagnosed with any health conditions. Must be 21 years of age or older to purchase. Although rare, Delta 8 THC may affect blood pressure, heart rate, and/or intraocular pressure. If you have any issues related to the effects mentioned above, do not take delta 8 unless approved by your doctor or physician.
Do not operate any heavy machinery or drive while under the influence of cannabis or hemp products.

Why Our Bulk CBD Products Don’t Contain Any THC?

We are often asked why there are no products containing even small amounts of THC in our Bulk CBD offer. Arguably, CBD products with THC might be even more efficient when dealing with certain health problems. However, the research also shows that the side effects of THC are more noticeable and frequent than those of CBD.

Sure, if CBD oil with THC is legal in your state, then it might be an efficient way to lower pain levels. Still, we shouldn’t forget that THC has psychoactive properties, and apart from that, it is addictive. Because of that, people who want to improve their physical and mental well-being usually prefer quality CBD products without THC. This way, they can function without worrying about the delayed motor response, paranoia, or racing thoughts, all of which are the side effects of THC.

Apart from that, although every year new states adopt laws making cannabis legal, products that contain both CBD and THC aren’t yet legal everywhere. As a result, you’ll have an easier time finding customers for bulk CBD products with no THC, such as ours, due to their legal status.

Are Bulk Broad-Spectrum CBD Products Better Than CBD Isolates?

As we have mentioned, our products don’t contain any THC; however, it doesn’t mean that CBD is the only compound naturally occurring in cannabis that can be found in our products. Bulk CBD oils, gummies, and tinctures available on our website also contain other phytonutrients, which have an impact on the effects of CBD. That’s because when CBD is consumed with other terpenes, the different compounds act synergistically, and as a result, CBD’s effects are more noticeable. That’s something called “entourage effect” – the benefits of CBD are stronger when various compounds work in unison, rather than on their own.

Apart from that, different terpenes also bring other beneficial properties, which makes some of them helpful when trying to manage pain, or deal with inflammation. This way, when trying our Bulk CBD oil, CBD cream, or CBD softgels, you’ll achieve better results than if you were to try CBD isolate instead. If you decide to buy products that contain only CBD, instead of a wide array of various phytonutrients, you’ll still be able to benefit from the effects of CBD, but they won’t be as pronounced. That’s why, if you have such a possibility, it’s better to choose broad-spectrum CBD products.

However, if the effects of broad-spectrum CBD oil and other products are more noticeable than those of CBD isolate, then perhaps choosing full-spectrum CBD products would be the best choice? Well, it depends on what you are trying to achieve. If you are interested in Bulk CBD because you want to experience the health benefits of CBD without any of the psychoactive effects of THC, then broad-spectrum CBD oil is going to be the best choice. You won’t have to worry about impaired executive function and motor control, which could become a problem after consuming products containing CBD and large amounts of THC.

It is true that small amounts of THC in a product with mostly CBD aren’t likely to cause a high similar to the one after the consumption of products with a high content of THC. Not only would there be not enough THC to make you intensely high, but it is also possible that CBD would actually counteract the THC high. The opinions differ on this subject, with some studies showing that CBD can decrease the intensity of the high, though others indicate that it might alleviate some of the adverse effects of THC, such as paranoia or anxiety, but that it doesn’t make the high any less intense.

That’s why before you decide to buy full-spectrum CBD oil, you should consider whether the risk of getting high is worth it. A simpler and safer option would be to rely on broad-spectrum Bulk CBD oil, CBD bath bombs, or CBD gummies, which would bring the combined strength of CBD and other hemp phytonutrients without a risk of getting high.

Are Our Broad-Spectrum Bulk CBD Products Thoroughly Tested?

Recent studies show that CBD can be used to deal with a variety of problems – e.g., to reduce anxiety, manage pain levels, or as a sleep-aid tool. However, even though customers express interest in hemp products, with the CBD industry growing at a rapid pace, some manufacturers offer second-rate CBD products. They might contain small, or not so small amounts of THC, even if their label claims otherwise. Alternatively, they could contain harmful chemicals, with no way of knowing for sure, unless you tested every CBD product.

Because of the current trends, companies that manufacture and sell bulk CBD products spring up like mushrooms, and finding a reliable source of the highest quality CBD oils isn’t necessarily easy. If you are uncertain about a particular company that offers bulk CBD, you should check whether a third-party lab tests their products. Only then will it be reasonable to assume that the results of a test are unbiased. If a company does, in fact, have their products tested by an independent laboratory, then you should check the results.

There, you will find information on the actual THC content, but that’s not all – you should also check whether there are any pesticide residues or heavy metals. If you aren’t sure how to read such reports, and on which parts should you focus, then you can check out our blog post on the importance of checking lab reports.

Unfortunately, it is not that rare for THC-free CBD oils and other products to be wrongly labeled, with a surprising number of them containing THC. A 2017 study found out that around 21% of the products labeled as having no THC content did contain some THC. That’s not all – 43% of them turned out to be stronger than their label claimed, whereas 26% had lower potency. Only one-third of such products did contain amounts of CBD and THC that were provided on the labels. Given the fact that in the study, researchers analyzed the contents of 84 products from 31 companies, we cannot treat the results as an outlier.

Because of that, you shouldn’t order bulk CBD from companies that don’t provide the third-party lab results. Thankfully, increasingly more and more customers become aware that although CBD can be used to reduce anxiety, or serve as a sleep-aid, to name just a few of its properties, its source is also important. The presence of pesticides or heavy metals in CBD oils would be terrible news for the customers, especially since such products are used primarily by those who are already dealing with some types of health problems.

However, CBD companies are aware of those concerns, which is why publishing the results from a third-party lab becomes a common practice. If you buy bulk CBD from our website – whether wholesale CBD or private label CBD oil products- you’ll be able to rest assured knowing that all of our products have been tested by an independent laboratory and that they don’t contain THC or harmful substances. Our products are of the best quality, but what’s also important is their consistency – each product will contain the amount of CBD that’s specified on the label so that you’ll be able to reliably track the effects of CBD on your mind and body.
